Geom Brings AI Automation to Production Homebuilding's Most Manual Architectural Workflows

San Francisco, CA — 09/18/2026 — Geom, an AI platform automating architectural production, today emerged from stealth, collaborating with more than half a dozen of the nation's largest production homebuilders.

Geom uses AI to automate repetitive, labor-intensive workflows that can slow home starts, increase costs, and introduce manual errors. The initial workflows on the Geom platform include QC review, option solving, plan mirroring, elevation rendering, plot plan development and construction-document preparation.

Rather than requiring builders to replace their existing software, file formats, or processes, Geom creates a semantic understanding of the elements and relationships within existing plan sets. This intelligence allows Geom to automate drafting and review work within established production workflows.

Initial pilot workflows have produced measurable results. In one project, Geom reduced plan mirroring from weeks to minutes, cutting the cost of the workflow by 73%. In another, Geom reorganized master sheet sets into construction-document sets for more than 300 plans in 20 minutes, a process that previously required two to three days and was vulnerable to manual error.

Building information modeling (BIM) demonstrated the value of connected design information, but the cost and complexity of setup, maintenance, and conversion have limited adoption in production homebuilding. Geom brings intelligent automation to the plan sets builders already use, without the expense or disruption of a wholesale system migration.

Geom was founded earlier this year with $5 million in seed funding led by Elad Gil & Co and a group of prominent Silicon Valley investors. The business is being built for enterprise use from the start. Geom safeguards builders' proprietary plan data and standards, ensuring their data remains their own and is never used for cross company model training.

In a market that spends $400B annually on AEC services, production homebuilding is Geom's starting point. The company plans to eventually expand into adjacent architecture, engineering, and construction markets facing the same challenges amidst slow, repetitive, and error-prone architectural production work.
